How many pictures will we receive?

This depends on the type of session. You will receive all of the edited digital images.
Heirloom Sessions: around 10 edited images
Family Sessions: at least 30 images
Newborn and Children Sessions: at least 50 edited images
Mini Sessions: around 15 edited images

What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?

I recommend having newborn photos taken between 2 weeks and a month after birth. Go ahead and schedule your session while you are pregnant and the date for newborn photos can be fluid depending on when the baby arrives.

Do you offer mini sessions?

I offer mini sessions on a few Saturdays during the fall-these are primarily used for Christmas card photos. I'll also offer them shortly before Mother's Day in the spring. Mini sessions last about 30 minutes and start at $125.

What is my child supposed to wear for heirloom portraits?

Sweet collars photograph nicely as do light colors. I would stay away from most patterns and stick to whites, creams, and light blue or pink. If you have a little boy, you're welcome to borrow one of the outfits that I have. I have a few heirloom options ranging from 9 months - 4T.

How should we dress for our family session?

Dress in a way that makes you feel comfortable. If you are not dressy people, don't feel like you have to put on fancy clothes just because other people you saw on social media did. Sometimes it is best to avoid super busy patterns.

Where do sessions take place?

Heirloom sessions take place at my house in Irondale or can be added on to another type of session at the client's house.
Newborn sessions are typically at the client's house.
Family and children sessions and mini sessions primarily take place at outdoor locations throughout Birmingham.

Do you offer headshots?

Yes! They cost $75 and are a short session at an outdoor location. Whether you need a formal business headshot or one showing more personality, we'll make it happen.
